ScottsMiracle Gro teamed up with BuzzFeed to create a gardening product that would motivate millennials to start gardening. The process involved a range of key activities, such as conducting feasibility and cost studies, generating branded product concepts (including candles), curating a selection of add-on products, sourcing a live plant supplier (which ultimately resulted in a partnership with Bloomscape), and finally handing over the project to a third-party subscription box fulfillment service.
The program was launched in 2018 and ran successfully until 2022.
